Asian Ginseng Extract
What is this ingredient known for?
Asian Ginseng has been used in Chinese traditional / herbal medicine for thousands of years.
Why are we using it in Power On?
Function #1: Ginseng (RG1) helps increase muscle performance.
Studies show that Rg1 reduces free radical production and muscle inflammation during and after exercise. In one study, Rg1 enhanced endurance performance at high exercise intensity compared with placebo in untrained men. Increased oxidative stress by muscle contraction reduces performance over time, and Rg1 seems to be associated with reduced oxidative markers, enhancing skeletal muscle output for a longer period of time by preserving mitochondrial function in a reduced free radical environment.

Function #2: Panax Ginseng may enhance working memory.
Evidence suggests that supplementation of Panax Ginseng elicits cognitive improvements. In one double-blind, placebo-controlled study, 30 young adults’ cognitive performances and mental fatigue were observed and measured. Results were noted, with the performances of young adults given Panax Ginseng performing significantly better on tasks and reporting reduced mental fatigue compared to placebo subjects.

Why this form?
We use a highly standardized and high quality source of Ginseng that high percentage of ginsenosides. This is the most important component of the Asian or American ginseng that offers the effects studied.
