Why are we using it in Power On?

In clinical research on human subjects, one component of green tea (EGCG) has been found to increase performance in tests for visual memory, enhance the ability to control responses and the ability to plan or make calculations.

de la Torre, R et al. Safety and efficacy of cognitive training plus epigallocatechin-3-gallate in young adults with Down's syndrome (TESDAD): a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, phase 2 trial. The Lancet Neurology. 2016; 15.8: 801-810.

Function #2: Green Tea Extract increases brain connectivity.

Other research has shown green tea extract enhances functional connectivity from the parietal to the frontal cortex. This impact on effective connectivity was found to be related to green tea induced improvement in cognitive performance.

Schmidt A, Hammann F, W├Âlnerhanssen B et al. Green tea extract enhances parieto-frontal connectivity during working memory processing. Psychopharmacology. 2014;231(19):3879-3888. doi:10.1007/s00213-014-3526-1.
